ClaySpace is a Community Arts Organisation offering a truly inclusive ceramics studio space delivering pottery, ceramics and sculpture classes and facilities. They provide day time, evening and weekend workshops and longer courses catering for everyone in the community at all levels of ability and experience.
By providing learning opportunities for people of all ages, abilities and experience ClaySpace has become a creative hub that addresses social, education and health issues using the arts and specifically pottery to inspire and strengthen communities.
ClaySpace provides opportunities for people, including those who face barriers to creativity, to meet, work, participate, learn new skills and enjoy themselves. The process of creative self expression through the medium of clay allows individuals to gain in confidence and empowerment and become less isolated and socially excluded.
Bridget and Ian do such an amazing job running Clayspace, not to mention being such supportive figures to the rest of the community.
We are hosting an exhibition and raffle in order to help raise money for a new potters wheel. Prize - a ceramic Clanger made by Clayspace's very own Andy Potter.
